You Get What You Pay For, America

(I posted this on my Facebook profile on Feb 28, 2020. The things that are happening around us are obvious to anyone who is open to the truth.)
20 years ago I decided to build a home...
Not just any home...
This was going to be a mansion...
With electronic everything...
And automated everything...
I found this amazing contractor...
He had a questionable past...
But he was cheap...
Like "too-good-to-be-true" cheap...
But he showed up for work every day...
And he went above and beyond...
He installed custom, electronic locks on my doors...
And my windows...
He built an electronic draw bridge to my property...
He ran state-of-the-art power lines to my home...
He installed custom water lines to his own proprietary well so I had the cleanest water in the county...
He installed a custom router so I had the fastest internet in the state...
He installed custom cell towers so I had the best signal for miles around...
He said I had no need to know how to run any of it because...
This is what I paid him to do...
And despite his questionable past...
He over-delivered for 20 years...
Until...
One day...
He got sick...
And didn't return my calls...
Or my emails...
Then I lost power to the house...
And my water got shut off...
And I couldn't get into any of the doors or windows...
And I couldn't put the drawbridge down...
So I was stuck on my property...
But could not access my home...
Or my firearms...
Or my blankets...
Or my food...
Or my medicine...
So my family and I...
Died on the threshold...
Of my very nice home...
That had all the creature comforts the world had to offer...
That I got a great deal on...
So at least I saved money...
Digging my own grave.
The end.

This is what the Coronavirus should be teaching us right now.
It's time to bring manufacturing back to America.
It's time we took ownership and responsibility for our own well-being and greatness.
It's easy to say "the time to buy is when there's blood in the streets."
But we forgot that the rest of the quote is "even if it's your own blood."
Smart entrepreneurs will begin moving quickly towards offering competitive services to cheap overseas providers and look the prospect in the eye and say "Do you want control over your well-being, or not? Your business life is worth the price difference."
You can't become great hunkering down.
There's blood in the street. Make your move.
Market like you mean it.
Now go sell something.
