Insightly vs Keap CRM

Here we go: Insightly vs Keap.

This is really an inaccurate question/comparison.

A more accurate comparison would be "Insightly vs Zoho," which is the most direct competitor.

However, people ask about Insightly vs Keap CRM, so here we go.

People who switch to Insightly are "just looking for a simple, easy CRM platform that you can get up and running in a day," according to the Insightly salesperson I spoke to today, and I agree.

It's a solid CRM with a nice GUI/User interface, stable, US-based support—Insightly is headquartered in San Francisco, and all support is there—and some nice integrations such as:

  • QuickBooks
  • Zapier
  • MailChimp
  • iOS and Android

Their pricing used to start at FREE, but many CRMs and marketing automation platforms have gotten away from that (but HubSpot manages to make a free CRM work, I'm just saying).

Insightly now has their packages starting at $29/user/mo on an annual basis, with automation kicking in at $49/user/mo, then you can get into products, pricebooks, and quoting at $99/user/mo.

So, looking at apples-to-apples, when you get the Enterprise edition of Insightly, it's close to the Keap pricing of $249/mo for two users.

Compared to how Insightly started, they now offer email marketing because standalone CRMs have been dead since around 2012.

Insightly is now solidly in the marketing and workflow automation world, which are features that Keap has been offering since around 2001, and does quite nicely.

Sidebar: I cannot over-emphasize the need to implement processes and automation into every aspect of your business. This type of automation is key for your growth, your profitability, and your life!

That being said, if you are just starting out and you need a great CRM that is built around and for small businesses, Insightly is worth your time and consideration.
