How can you tell you're in the presence of a quality salesperson?
Their calm demeanor. They are not in a rush.
Sure, they may be paddling like crazy beneath the water but not on the outside and probably a lot less on the inside than you'd think.
Hurrying begets more hurrying begets mistakes begets anger, lost profits, lost referrals, lost sleep, lost wealth, lost health, lost quality of life.
A quality salesperson was not born calm and not in a rush.
They were in a rush to begin with until they "figured it out."
What did they figure out?
They figured out what they were good at, who they could serve, who they couldn't serve and honed in on their sweet spot.
I've gotten one speeding ticket in the last 20 years and it was when I was juggling a day job with The Sales Whisperer®.
I was burning the candle at both ends and neither was burning bright enough to provide the light I needed.
I was late for my day job appointment and I got nailed not too far from my house.
I was so irritated but it was a sign.
Leaving that 6-figure day job behind was scary but rewarding.
The things that matter in my life are much less harried now.
I get to the gym more often.
I attend my kids' sporting events much more often.
I'm home for breakfast, lunch and dinner much more often.
I'm blogging and writing more often.
More prospects and clients are calling me than ever before.
Things are looking up and up because I'm able to slow down.
Do you need to slow down?
It's better to do it voluntarily and in control.
You can do so at any time. Just give yourself permission.
